How to get results on your mobile phone:

You may either browse mobile optimised version of these forecasting result pages with your mobile phone's browser or use RSS reader to fetch the results for you. Here I will instruct you how to use RSS. To use RSS reader your mobile phone has to support java and have a GPRS connection (not a problem with newer phones).

I will only give you instructions how to install and use RSS reader on your phone. There are also plenty of RSS readers to download on your PC that you may use as well. If you want to know more about RSS, BBC has a good introduction: What is RSS?

If you know what to do:

You may download RSS reader for your mobile with forecasting result service feeds ready in place from www.ergorej.net/mob/RSSReader.jar (right mouse click and choose Save Link As...). Note that it is case sensitive. Or open your phone's browser and point it to http://www.ergorej.net/mob/ (WAP page). Download the RSSReader application from there.

Step by step instructions:

These instructions are made with Nokia series 60 (e.g. 3650, 6600, 6630, N-Gage) mobile phone but the process is quite the same with any mobile phone.

Step 1: Downloading RSS reader

1. Open browser. 2. Add a bookmark or browse directly to http://www.ergorej.net/mob/ and jump to image no. 6. 3. Insert information for the bookmark:
name: e.g. RSSReader
Address: http://www.ergorej.net/mob/
Access point: choose your operator's connection
4. Save the bookmark. 5. Choose RSSReader bookmark. 6. Allow connection and wait while GPRS connection is established.

7. Download the application and wait while application downloads.

Step 2: Installing the RSS reader

8. Accept the install application question. 9. If you have a memory card you will have the option to choose where to install the application (does not matter). Wait while application is installed. 10. Exit the browser when application is installed.

Step 3: Using the RSS reader

11. Depending on the phone model RSSReader application will be put to different places. Usually either in Apps. (in my phone found in Extras foulder) or then directly to the end of main menu. 12. If RSSReader is not found in main menu, search and open the Apps. icon. 13. Open the RSSReader application.
14. Main menu, choose Read feeds. 15. RSS feeds menu, Decathlon and Heptathlon feeds are already in place. You may first choose e.g. Decathlon. 16. You must first update the information by choosing Update.
17. Choose your operator's connection to let the RSSReader application access the Internet. 18. Updating Done. RSSReader shows how many items were downloaded etc. 19. Press Options and choose ok to exit updating page.
20. Decathlon feed should now have new items. This is shown after the Read word in brackets (new items/items all together). Choose Read. 22. This will show you all the items in Decathlon feed. Welcome message is the first item in the feed. The star in front of the item stands for a new item. You may now read the items by simply choosing to Read them. 23. RSSReader will show you the contents of the item. Now you may navigate in the menus. You may update the feeds as you wish and read items in the feeds. Decathlon and Heptathlon news will be updated with new items after each event.
